I Trust Him

There she kneels, alone in the center of a circle. Surrounding her was a group of men, with whips. Pillars of sweats were dropping down from the cheeks of both parties, the woman and the men.

"Let's see how long u can stand this. I will make u suffer for this." What follow was a series of mad laughter.

"He will make u pay for this... " she quenched out her last bit of energy to squeezed out these few words from the the seemingly unmoved lips.

another slash dropped on her back. Skins broke, blood splashed, body collapsed...

There she is, lying there. Motionless. Eyes looking upward into the ray of light in front of her, looking into nothingness. One could easily thought the thing lying there is just a corpse, lifeless. But if u would just go abit more closer, u can notice that bead of tear on the edge of her eyelid, and maybe the very frail movement of chest, up, down, up, down...the only sign that proves that she is still alive.

The people around her was gone now,all that left was darkness. Totally darkness. But many didn't realise that there was actually a fire burning in the room itself. The flame was dazzling, the heat was immense, the temperature is high, high enough to melt the hardest solid in the world, gold. It was there, deep in her heart, burning so intensely. But what she wanted was not gold that it melts, but hearts, hearts of stone.

The door was opened, a figure walked in. Not those face with evil grins on their face and a whip in their hands anymore, not those rigid and sturdy body anymore. No, not them anymore. But it really didn't matter also anyway now.

In she came, a lady. Same age with her. The difference between these them was, she was clean and neat. And most importantly, she didn't have scars with her, she didn't have to go through what she had gone through. She stood there, stunned. Couldn't believe what she saw.

"What have they done to u? How could they...?? "

She ran over, hugged the motionless body and broke down in tears. That's her best friend, who grew up together with her. They once shared the same dream, shared the same memories, shared the same laughter and tears. But when they decided to follow the different master, it won't be the same anymore.

One decided to follow a wealthy man.He was rich, he was smart or maybe cunning, he can give you anything u desire for as long as u submit to him, to his powers to do what he ordered to achieve success in his evil plots. She followed him,and she was glad she could be free from all the sufferings and enjoyed life by controlling by her master.

Another decided to follow a guy. He got everything too, yet nothing. He was a servant himself, serving others. Why would one choose to follow a servant and be a servant's servant ? No one understand. Furthermore this master of hers had been condemned by all for his acts of claiming to be God's son and lastly die by being nailed to a cross in front of public. And there she was here, going through agony for her master that was dead and will never be back according to all.

"Why are u so stubborn? Just surrender to them. It won't take u anything and instead u will enjoy it."

"He will come..."

"No, he won't. Listen, he won't come. He forsake u when u are in trouble and how do u expect a person who can't even save himself to come and save u?"

Countless of people told her all these before. She can't remembered anymore how many times it had been repeated. From her enemies, from the ignorant people, from her friends, and, even her loved ones. People laughed at her stupid loyalty, people mocked her for looking troubles for herself, and people persecuted her for her faith.

This does not just happened once. From the first day she decided to follow Him, she expected this. Reprimands, mockery, sarcastic words...never stopped. She told herself it will be fine, they will stop when they finally realise the truth one day. But this one day that she had been waiting for never comes.

Again and again she was persecuted, again and again they stepped on her, again and again she was stabbed. Again and again her tears dropped...

She prayed so hard, pray that one day the flame in her heart could help the lost ones to find their way. But, it didn't happened. Not till now...

She was tired of waiting. She felt like to stop here, now. She can't go on anymore...

Just as she felt that she was going to surrender, she heard Him. Yes, loud and clear He speaks to her.

"Im sorry that u have to go through this. But trust me, one day I will come to fetch you home, your real home. Hold on to me and i shall honour you. "

In that hollow room where only sobs of her friends that could be heard, there was another sound. It was a hymn, a very soft sound...

When i fall u picked me up

To some, its merely a structure with roof on top to let u take shelter from the changing weather, a place to let u rest and take a nap, a place where there are tv and foods available abundantly, a place where u can hear the naggings of old folks with siblings bugging you all day long...

But trust me, its more than that.

Yes, its a shelter, a shelter for a vulnerable heart.
Yes, its a place of rest, a place of rest for a weary soul.
Yes, it provides entertainment, but in the form of laughter and encouragement that makes the worn out engine to keep moving on.
A place of nagging and bugging, where words fused with love and care replenish one's heart to let you hear your own heartbeat once again...

Some said, you won't know how much a thing matters to you until you lose it.
It's old-fashioned rite?But its true...

Stepping in, the same settings, the same atmosphere, the same face, the same smile.

I know, im home...

A place where i can put down my burdens, my worries, my armour. I am myself and i know the people in this little world love me for who i am.

When i'm cold, there is someone to put a blanket on me.
When i'm hurt, there will be a pair of hands to gently apply balm on my wound.
When i'm tired, there will be a voice saying, " Just close ur eyes n lean on me."

In this small little space, maybe not even a grain of sand compare to the vast universe, i found the thing that i have been seeking for all this while.

Staring into her eyes, i saw her anxiety. No much words uttered, just a simple

"Be careful."

I never realised how much worries and care have been added into this two simple words, but the warmth had melt my heart, making it even fluidity than it could be when it comes to mix with the tears dwelling in it.

No matter how far i traveled, how much i achieved, how high i soar, i know this is the place where i truly belong.
